Menno Dellisse

Growth mentoring for CEOs who have outgrown the identity, the systems and the advice that got them here.

The question in the room no one wants to ask. That is where we start.

Menno Dellisse
Lecturer on the TRIUM Global Executive MBA, and at HEC Paris and NYU Stern.

What a CEO can’t say out loud inside their own company, they can say to me.

For close to two decades, I sat in senior and board-level seats at Mastercard, UBS and Le Pain Quotidien, creating, transforming and expanding businesses across the US, Brazil, Asia and Europe. Earlier, I ran and restructured Sip-Well Germany through its acquisition by Danone. Somewhere in there, advising people became the work I cared about most.

  • A company rarely grows past the person leading it. That’s why this work is not only about the business.

  • Whether the question is about how to grow or about what to protect, you get a clear view from me, not a hedged one.

  • In several of the companies I work with, part of what I earn depends on how the company does. This isn’t a walk-away consultancy.

“He doesn’t fix your company, he grows the person running it.”

How we start.

Most people start with a conversation: an hour to get to know each other and see whether there is real work to do. From there, my signature format is the Deep Dive, and the vast majority of people who do one go on to a year of Growth Mentoring. If you would rather test the water first, there is a Laser Session. Board mandates and keynotes are their own thing.

Fees on request. Ask about any format and I’ll come back to you personally.

Menno was my mentor through the most demanding years of Dog Chef, and the best way I can describe what he does is this: he doesn’t fix your company, he grows the person running it.

Menno has been my mentor through monthly sessions and board meetings, and he changed how I run this company by changing how I think.

Menno has been active on our board for 5 years. During his tenure our Agency achieved a 5 years consecutive high double digit growth. We have immensely appreciated Menno’s contribution, alternating between high-level strategic and field-level operational, always putting things into perspective. Menno challenges things to bring them back to their true meaning: the meaning for yourself and for your company. As you do well what you inherently are, Menno elevates the debates and injects purpose in vision, turns vision into action and brings it back to purpose again: the virtuous cycle of accomplishment.

Questions people ask.

Before you write. If yours is not here, it is a good first line for the message.

Let’s talk.

Reaching out is the hard part. After that, you get me directly.

Tell me where the company stands and what’s on your mind. A few lines are enough to start. I read every message myself, and I answer personally.
